Thank you for dropping into our
website which we hope will provide you with lots of information about the
Cats Protection organisation and how you could help us in the work we do at
the West Lothian Branch.
On a national level, Cats
Protection (formerly known as the Cats Protection League) have been
rescuing and rehoming abandoned cats and kittens since 1927. We rehome over
60,000 cats per year and we have 29 purpose built shelters nationwide plus a
further 260 voluntary branches, of which West Lothian is one. Cats
Protection's main aims are as follows:
-
To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens
-
To rehabilitate and rehome them wherever possible
-
To encourage neutering of all cats and kittens not required for breeding
purposes
-
To inform the public on the care of cats and kittens
We
hope you will take a few minutes to look around our website which focuses on
our branch activities here in West Lothian but if you require more detailed
information on the Cats Protection organisation in general, please visit the main
website by clicking on the following link:

We receive a lot of enquiries from the
public asking where our rescue centre is
located or what our opening hours are.
Please note that the West Lothian Branch is
run purely by volunteers and, unfortunately,
we do not have specific premises for the
work we do. Cats available for adoption are
looked after by our dedicated foster carers
in their own homes until new owners can be
found for them. We can often arrange a visit
should you wish to see a particular cat but
we ask that you contact us either by
email or via our
online form to enquire about this. Thank
you. |
